LFW 2nd outfit: Networking time

Claro, el figureo y el disfrutar de la Semana de la moda y los desfiles estaba muy bien, pero ya era hora de empezar a trabajar y comentarle a los londinenses mi proyecto. Por cierto, mis diseños tuvieron una muy buena acogida.

Este fue el look que escogí para ese día; la pieza protagonista fue mi camiseta de Zara costumizada por a.Lu|HMS.

Of course, the showoff moment and enjoying the atmosphere on London Fashion Week and the catwalks was great,  but it was time to start working and tell londoners about my project. By the way, my designs were very well received

London Fashion Week: Vintage Outfit

Un vestido vintage de la marca española Kling, y los pendientes de cristal de swarovski, hechos a mano por mi,  fueron las piezas principales que escogí para la inauguración del London Fashion Week AW2013.

Al margen de las últimas tendencias, que proponen vestir a rayas blancas y negras y con formas geométricas... yo tenía claro que me pondría mi vestido floreado de colores alegres, comprado hace unos meses en Madrid.

Cuando vi la última foto, entendí por qué había recibido tanta atención durante ese día.

Estas de acuerdo? :)

A vintage dress by Kling, a Spanish brand, combined with a swarovski earrings, handmade by me, were the main pieces I choosed for the opening of London Fashion Week AW2013.

Besides the latest trends, proposing black and white stripes and geometric shapes... I had something pretty clear: I would wear my brightly colored floral dress, bought a few months ago in Madrid.

When I saw the last photo, I realized why I had received that much attention during that day.

London Fashion Week FW13: Last day...

Ha sido mi primera experiencia en una Semana de la Moda, y debo confesar que ha sido mucho mejor de lo que esperaba. No iba con otra expectativa que la de absorber al máximo el estilo londinense y captar tendencias que me inspiraran para mis futuros diseños.

Estos días he aprendido que no todo son los desfiles de pasarela, que también hay un montón de exposiciones permanentes de jóvenes diseñadores a las que puedes asistir y conocer sus colecciones sin necesidad de invitación.

Noté además que llamar la atención como sea, parece lo más importante para algunos, lograr esa ansiosa foto que te haga promocionar tu proyecto o blog es el objetivo #1, también me di cuenta que una vez hace clic una cámara fotográfica en alguien o algo, las demás siguen por inercia, sin saber a quién o a qué fotografiaban.

Mi sexto y último día en Londres supuso el final a una semana llena de moda, gente con los estilismos mas arriesgados, celebrities, desfiles, modelos, flashes, música, aplausos, english breakfasts, prisas... 

La verdad es que me voy con ideas super interesantes de proyectos que estoy deseando desarrollar, contactos importantes para el futuro, y en concreto con un montón de conocidos que podrían llegar a ser grandes amigos y colaboradores.

Espero que este final suponga sólo una pausa en mi participación en futuras semanas de la moda, y con estas fotos doy por concluida la cobertura que quería realizar para ustedes sobre este evento.

It has been my first experience in a Fashion Week, and I must say it has been much better than I expected. I went there without any other expectation but to absorb the most of London style, and capture trends that inspire me for my future designs.

During these days I have learned that everything is not about catwalks, there are also many permanent exhibitions of young designers you can attend and meet without invitation.

I also realized that been noted is the most important thing to some people there, and being focused in as much cameras as possible makes you get a great promotion of your project or blog; also, once somebody clic a camera on someone or something, the others follows by inertia, without knowing exactly who or what is being watched though their lens.

My sixth day in London became the ending to a week full of fashion, the most weird outfits, celebrities, catwalks, models, flashes, music, applauses, english breakfasts, rush...

To be honest, I left the city with very interesting ideas for projects that i am wishing to develope in the future, important contacts, and in particular a lot of people who probably will become great friends and partners.

With these pics I say goodbye to this big event, willing to have given you a full, elegant and funny cover of it.
